Earth Science Tech Inc. [stockquote symbol=ETST], a biotechnology company focused on nutraceuticals, bioceuticals, and dietary supplements, recently announced that it has entered the next phase of its research on the effectiveness of Hemp Oil Enriched with CBD (Cannabidiol) on immune cells at the University of Oklahoma in conjunction with assistant dean Dr. Wei Chen.

In October 2014, the company announced preliminary results from its Sponsored Research Agreement with the University of Oklahoma. The preliminary data suggested that – in appropriate doses – the firm’s Hemp Oil Enriched with CBD can inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells more than that of normal cells. If the same effects are observed in vivo, it may help treat cancer patients.
The company intends to invest upwards of $600,000 in order to secure and develop multiple patents and conduct clinical trials of its cannabidiol compounds. Dr. Wei Chen has done extensive work in the area of laser treatment of breast cancer and is working with a foreign drug company to advance and exploit the technology under development, while also working in various areas of cannabidiol applications.
